Postal Services St. Maarten N.V. (PSS N.V.), a government-owned company, was officially incorporated in 2010 when St. Maarten attained country status, entirely replacing the operations of Nieuwe Post Nederlandse Antillen NV (NPNA) operations.
Following the devastation caused by hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017, the post office, as it is affectionately referred to, was forced to relocate and now operates from its current central location at the former Census Office, located on Pond Island.
Historically, postal services on St. Maarten have been the backbone of the country’s communication and social-economic development through mail delivery, e-commerce activities, retail services, and of late, the disbursement and old age pension payments (SZV clients). PSS N.V. also serves the region’s hub for mail transportation.
Through the adversities such as natural disasters, global trends to how technology has altered how information is gathered or disseminated, our unwavering mission has always been to build a cohesive country by maintaining a vital and resilient postal infrastructure.
On October 8, 2020, PSS N.V. commemorated 10 years of dedicated service to the citizens of Sint Maarten under the new incorporation. Together with our team of loyal and dedicated staff, we remain committed to providing quality and reliable services to the people of Sint Maarten.
